ONLINE:

Online purchases of Metta Melbourne within Australia can be sent back for an online credit code, exchange or refund provided they are unworn, still tagged, and sent back within 14 days of the sent date. All items sold at a discounted price are FINAL SALE unless the item is faulty and the fault has not been listed. Refunds will incur a 5% restocking fee. Socks, soaps & incense are not able to be exchanged for hygiene reasons, unless faulty.

EU Right of Withdrawal

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the last item in your order, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must submit your request within this 14-day window. You can do this by logging into your account and requesting a return or cancellation directly from your order.

Once you have submitted your withdrawal request, you must return the items within 14 days. We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, using the same payment method you used for the original purchase. Return shipping costs are covered by the customer and will not be included in the refund amount.

Due to the nature of natural fibers, some textiles will have slubs and uneven weaving patterns at times. Slubs and uneven weaving is not considered a fault.

Garment dyeing: All of our colours are achieved using a garment dyeing technique which means our garments are dyed after they are made at Melbourne's last remaining dye house. This process is can produce slightly differing colours depending on the textiles used and the dye batch it was from, meaning the same colour name may be slightly different depending on which dye batch it came from. There may also be slightly un-even colouring on a garments. This is not deemed as a fault and cannot be claimed as a faulty garment.

All of our prints are hand screen printed meaning there may be small sections where prints do not match exactly or there may be a small imperfections such as splashes of paint. These are reminders of the human element that went into making every step of your garment and these 'errors' should be cherished and celebrated therefore we also do not consider small printing errors to be faults. 

If any items have significant uneven patches of dye or marks these items will be advertised as imperfect pieces.


If you wish to match the colour of two Metta pieces together we recommend visiting one of our stockists such as Scarlet Jones who carry our full range, or one of our many other Metta stockists to see the colours in person or emailing us to see if we are able to colour match. 

** Please remember we have a very slow approach to making and dyeing our garments. Each item is made with cotton thread and using only natural fibers. This creates a garment that has a rustic look and feel and can have slight imperfections. This is what makes a Metta garment unique and in no way affects the high quality of the garment. Garments will arrived pre-washed, pre-shrunk, un-ironed and plastic free.

Return shipping costs and taxes are to be paid by the customer.

ARE THERE ANY CHARGES FOR RETURNS?
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable. 
  • If 'Free Shipping' was offered yet you would like to return the item for a refund, the original shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Original tax and duties are non-refundable
  • You are responsible for return shipping & duties payable unless the item is faulty.
  • If an order refund is permitted, a 10% restocking fee is deducted from the return amount owing. This is to cover non refundable fees from our service providers and other costs associated with order packing. Credit Notes and Exchanges will not incur a restocking fee.

We reserve the right to reject any request for returns that do not comply with the conditions above or do not fall under Australian consumer law. If your return is approved but after review your package is not accepted, it will be sent back to you at your cost and a exchange or refund will not be granted.

Any cancellations of an order at the request of a customer, before an item has been sent out will incur a 5% restocking fee & shipping costs will also be refunded, if applicable.
