Introducing the first instalment of the Autumn Winter collection: "From the Faraway, Nearby". The AW26 collection is a study in balance, light and shadow, strength and softness - an ode to enduring design.
Metta draws inspiration from the enduring vision of iconic artist Georgia O’Keeffe - her reverence for landscape, restraint, and devotion to nature. O’Keeffe developed her unique style during her years in New Mexico, and the distilled desert horizons carry through in her work. Originally influenced by the Japanese principle of Notan, her work balances light and dark, negative space and form - an approach that informs this collection. The title of the collection comes both from a O'Keeffe's 1937 painting and how she often signed off her letters.
The palette includes both bright and earthy tones: Flax and Brick are easy-to-wear neutrals reminiscent of the landscape. Merlot and Washed Denim Blue add rich colour in accents, and Dark Navy - grounded in quiet simplicity. Silhouettes are refined and purposeful, letting proportion and fabric speak with confidence.
Artisanal Hand-screen-printed florals from India carry a softened, vintage patina in our Sunset Garden Chintz Print. Custom blue tartan checks are designed in-house and woven in a medium-weight linen in Lithuania.
